The Chatteris CPPF logo comprises silhouettes of a “Fen” windmill (based upon the windmill at Wicken Fen) and two electric wind turbines (common across the Fens). These images are linked together, in the same way that the society aims to link the “Past, Present & Future” of Chatteris. This depiction is accompanied by the text “Chatteris Past, Present & Future – A Civic Society”.
This page contains links to various versions of the logo, and guidance on how to use them.
- The “AI” files are Adobe Illustrator files. They can be used directly in applications such as Adobe InDesign, and provide the best possible quality.
- The “PNG” files are not as high quality as the AI files, but are easier to use and the ones provided here are of a high enough quality to meet most needs. Some have transparent backgrounds.
If you are unsure which files to use, go with the PNG ones. Please follow the text links provided for the high-quality versions, rather than downloading the sample pictures displayed here.
Our standard logo is white on a green background (AI | PNG).
Using the logo in print
When printing, it is usually not appropriate to use the white logo with the green background.
If printing in colour on a white background, you should use the green logo with a white background (AI | PNG, white background | PNG, transparent background).
If printing on a coloured background or printing in black and white, you should use either the white logo (AI | PNG, transparent background) or the black logo (AI | PNG, white background | PNG, transparent background) as appropriate.
We have a version of the logo which is in “Heritage Open Days Pink” (AI | PNG, white background | PNG, transparent background). Use this logo alongside the official Heritage Open Days logo on a white background for any Heritage Open Days events when printing in colour or creating a poster for the web.
Using the logo online
The standard white-on-green logo at the top of the page works well online, and is well proportioned for use on Facebook, etc. Using this logo is preferred when using the logo as a stand-alone image. If the logo is being placed over a coloured background (e.g, on a website, or on a poster you intend to share online) then follow the print guidelines above.
There is an icon available, which simply comprises the images of the white windmills without any text on either a green or transparent background. (AI, green background | AI, transparent background | PNG, green background, PNG, transparent background).
Use this sparingly for icons, profile images, etc. When using the icon, you should ensure that the full logo is also used nearby. For example, if using the icon as a profile picture, use the full logo as a header image.
Other logos
There is also a text-only version of the logo available, although use of this should be avoided where possible (AI | PNG, white background | PNG, transparent background).
