The old post office on Park Street was constructed in the late 18th century, and it became the town’s Post Office in 1924. It spent a time as the Chatteris Telephone Exchange, and now houses the Royal Mail Delivery Office for Chatteris.
Prior to 1924, the post office was just across the road in what is now The Hollies Dental Practice.
Both buildings are Grade II Listed.

Taking a digital tour of Chatteris?
If you’re taking a Digital Tour of Chatteris, continue along Park Street a little way until, on the left, you see a building with a green-roofed extension at the front. This is the Empress Swimming Pool – the next stop on the tour.
